In 2017, who knew a simple social media post would spark a lifelong partnership? Though we had classes together in high school, we didn't officially meet until years later.

Our first date was unforgettable: go-kart racing. I accidentally wore a dress and sported a super natural fro because my two-strand twist hadn’t properly dried. That moment set the tone for our relationship—fun, spontaneous, and perfectly imperfect.

Growing in understanding and shedding bad habits allowed us to mature in ways we couldn't have imagined. What makes our relationship special are the small things. We give each other room to be ourselves while still being locked in as best friends when it comes to most things. Our first out-of-country trip was to Mexico, marking the beginning of our many adventures together.

The most unexpected and beautiful moment came on Thanksgiving Day 2023, with a surprise proposal. That night, we had many things to be thankful for. It was perfect in its surprise and sincerity, a true reflection of our journey together.
